The Festival Angels Detached Team are at work across the festival site offering help and support to festival goers be it: putting up tents; carrying luggage; helping navigate the site; working with security; being a visible presence in the arena; supporting and working alongside welfare and first aid; signposting people to further help; walking people to taxis and buses; helping keep people hydrated; offering support when things go wrong; and much more.

The Detached Team wear high-vis tabards with the Festival Angels logo on and work in teams of two or three. The teams also keep fit with one of our volunteers saying his phone recorded that he walked 58 miles over the festival week!

Detached teams carry a bag which includes items such as sun tan lotion, plasters, heat blankets, wet wipes, hair bands and sweets.

If you need help and support, are concerned about someone else or just want to ask about what Festival Angels do then ask one of the Detached team if you spot them!

Part of the Detached team is the Chariot. The Chariot is a vehicle and team who drive to visit security posted across the festival site. The Chariot arrives with cups of tea and coffee, a friendly hello and chat and the all important chocolate biscuits! This is an amazing part of the work of Festival Angels and brings hope and much needed sustenance to those working to keep the festival site safe.
